Admiral Jockstrap – White / Royal blue

The waistband is 3.5cm of silky-finish fabric, not exposed logo elastic. The default in this category is a branded elastic band — narrow, scratchy, and prone to folding over the moment the wearer sits down. The Admiral uses a wide covered band with a satin face, so what sits against the skin is smooth, and the width keeps it flat across the hip instead of rolling.

It also gives the garment a second contrast. The band’s sheen reads differently from the matte body even where the colour is identical, so the silhouette has definition on a hanger and under store lighting. It is a quiet piece of design, and it is most of the reason this style photographs better than a jock with a logo band across the front.
