The back is a full seat, not an open one. That single decision is what separates the Monarch from every jockstrap on the same shelf, and it is the one worth putting in front of a buyer. A cutout either side of the seat keeps the strap lines of a jock, but the coverage is a brief’s — so it can be worn under clothes, slept in, and sold to the customer who likes the look of a jockstrap and will not wear one.
