I founded Spicy & Shiny after a moment of clarity at Las Vegas MAGIC in August 2024.

At the time, I was running a women’s apparel business specializing in rhinestone and embellished clothing. But walking the fashion markets in LA and NYC, I kept noticing the same thing — a generation of confident, expressive men who wanted bold, unapologetic clothing, and a wholesale market that wasn’t serving them. The options were either fast-fashion throwaways or luxury pieces with impossible MOQs.

That gap felt personal to me. Years earlier, working with the Montreux Jazz Festival, I’d experienced firsthand the creativity and energy of the LGBTQ+ community — artists, performers, and people who dressed to be seen. I wanted to build something for them, and for the boutique owners who serve them.

So I pivoted. I took my sourcing network, quality standards, and obsession with clothing that doesn’t do subtle, and launched Spicy & Shiny — wholesale menswear for LGBTQ+ boutiques and brands who want inventory with attitude. Rhinestone mesh, sheer knits, bold prints, metallic finishes — if it catches light and turns heads, it belongs in our catalog.

Based in Hangzhou and Yiwu, China — I consider myself your eyes on the ground. I personally oversee quality on every production run, working minutes from our manufacturing partners to catch the details before anything ships to your store.

I still remember exactly what it’s like to have a big idea and get turned away by factories because your quantities are too small. That’s why our MOQ starts at just 20 pieces per style, and we offer private-label customization starting at 100 units. I built Spicy & Shiny to be the wholesale partner I wish I had when I was starting out — flexible, transparent, and genuinely invested in helping small businesses grow.
